How do I get rid of this discoloring green blob image off my HDTV?

UNDERSTAR asked:

So I picked this HDTV from a friend and its one of those really heavy 47″ Sony Trinitron tvs and I have this discoloring on the upper left and right side of the tv and a discoloring on the bottom left. Its a greenish color and its distorting the color/video on the tv. Any ideas what it is and/or how to get rid of it?

Hdtv when they are tubes it needs degaussing probably if its rear projection unit you might need to replace the board but check the convergence check the board.
Hdtv when they are manual you need to replace the convergence check the convergence others are manual you might need to check the manual or check the manual or check the convergence check the board.
