An LCD TV is a great addition to any living room, especially for people who watch more than a couple of hours of TV each day. The picture and sound are fantastic, and whatever happens to be on the screen is really bought to life. The merits of these TVs have long been known, but until the last year the price of them put them out of most people’s reach. No more though! You can now get yourself a good quality cheap LCD TV from lots of different places. If you are ready to take advantage of the recent fall in prices, then the following tips will help you decide which LCD TV is right for you…
Research each brand - All of the big electrical brands have ventured into the LCD TV market, so you will be spoilt for choice. Sony, Samsung and Toshiba are some of the big players, but you will have to pay a premium to get yourself an LCD TV made by one of those companies. You can get some great TVs from the smaller manufacturers, but the quality of them can be a bit hit and miss. Therefore, it is advisable to do some research online before making a final decision.
Decide what screen size you need first - People are often tempted to just go for the biggest screen size possible, but that is not always the best way. The reason being that how near or far you sit from your TV is an important factor to consider. If you have a small living room, then a huge TV is really not necessary, as you will be sitting too close to it to get the optimal viewing experience. If you normally sit around 4 feet from your TV, then a screen size of around 30 inches is best, and if you normally sit 12 feet from your screen, then a 50 inch screen is recommended.
Only get a high resolution one - The resolution of the screen on an LCD TV is the most important factor as far as the quality of the picture is concerned. A large screen with a low resolution will more than likely result in a viewing experience that you are not satisfied with. If your budget means that you have to choose between a high resolution or a big screen, then you should always opt for a high resolution.
